January 2010: Eco-watch
improves portable iCube
This portable kit is designed
for mitigation, presence and absence work, remote
monitoring and recording. Development continues
to include SD and HD recording. These units
are robust and waterproof; all hardware and
controls embedded in a Peli case. Ideal
for monitoring wildlife in locations where there
is no direct mains power.
December 2009: Consultation
for underwater camera system completed
Eco-watch developed full and
final consultation documents for a funding application
to install an underwater environmental monitoring
and camera system with interactive displays,
Derby, UK.
November 2009: Environmental
Learning Centre in Sheffield
Eco-watch completes the final
stage of consultancy and their commission to
develop a project design and infrastructure
for Environmental Learning Centre in Sheffield.
October 2009: 25Km remote
camera link completed
Eco-watch completes the final
stage of a 7 year project to create a wildlife
surveillance network for North Lincolnshire
Council. The final phase, the installation of
two remote microwave AV links over 25km from
remote controlled cameras relayed from the Humber
Bridge, North Lincolnshire Council, N. Lincs.
September 2009: SD iCube
4 - port capture unit (version 2) completed
Eco-watch complete development
of their full SD definition iCube. It
records 4 simultaneous video streams in uncompressed
576i quality, with motion detection on each
input. The iCube has an internal RAID
on which the video, audio and data files are
stored. The iCube synchronises video and
data together recording them simultaneously.
July 2009: "Back from
the Brink" exhibition for the WWT completed
Eco-watch completes the "Back from the
Brink" exhibition for the WWT, including
2 ruggedised remote controlled cameras (with
public controls for visitors), cameras set in
discrete chambers for capturing beavers, water
voles, harvest mice and water shrews. The video
from all cameras is recorded on motion using
the iCube.
May 2009: Eco-watch Expands
As part of Eco-watch's natural expansion they
move to new premises enabling them to better focus
on their growing consultancy businesses.
