One of Paignton Zoo's
main aims is to conserve wildlife and
endangered species worldwide, and support
dissemination of knowledge about the natural
world in which we live. It is part of
a breeding programme to secure a viable
population of Sumatran tigers.

pregnant the zoo asked fro Eco-watch's
help in installing discrete high quality
cameras in the tigers den so that they
could record images of the birth and young
cubes.

The National Trust
(NT) is a charity independent of Government
and its purpose it to act as a guardian
for the UK in the acquisition and protection
of threatened coastline, countryside and
buildings. Part of their focus for the
future is to educate people about the
importance of the environment and of preserving
both buildings and natural heritage for
future generations. They place learning
at the heart of everything they do.
Eco-watch has worked as consultants on
many NT projects. In this example we were
asked by members of the local NT team
to help them enable visitors to Dunster
Castle (in Somerset, UK) understand more
about the wildlife that the castle buildings
supported.
